General Enquiries

I'm visiting your Bolton Branch, is parking available?

Absolutely. There are 2 car parks located on Crown Street, Bolton. Both are within 2 minutes walking distance from our centre. Simply pop our address into your map and you will see both car parks as soon as you enter our street. Our full address is The Phlebotomy Centre, Ground Floor Vantage House, Bolton, BL1 2RU.

What are your opening times?

Our contact centre is open Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.

Our Bolton Centre is open Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday 9.30am-2.30pm with the exception on Adult Phlebotomy Training days in which we remain open until 4.30/5.00pm

Can you help me set up my own service?

Unfortunately not, although we do have a CQC Consultation Service for advice and guidance, this is specific to regulatory requirements and not a discussion around setting up your own business.

Phlebotomy Training

Are your courses accredited?

Yes, both our online and physical courses are CPD accredited. We have successfully trained many individuals who have flourished in employment upon gaining their new skill with the majority of these individuals successfully gaining employment in the NHS.

When will I receive my course certificate?

Upon successful completion of any of our practical courses, your certificate will be sent by email within 3-5 working days.

For online learning, your certificate is issued once the online course is complete.

What are the entry requirements for Phlebotomy Training?

You do not need previous qualifications to do the course, some employers ask for a minimum of 4 GCSE’s/equivalent and we provide you with an employment reference once the course is complete. For the most part, securing work in phlebotomy is based on your performance at interview.

The exception to this, if for Paediatric Phlebotomy training in which all of the entry requirements are listed on the booking page.

What are the entry requirements for Paediatric Phlebotomy Training?

Here are the main questions you will be asked when booking onto the Paediatric Phlebotomy Course:

1. You confirm that you are not, or have never been, under investigation for any issues relating to clinical practice?

2. You confirm that you hold appropriate training certificates or 12 months experience performing phlebotomy in your role. You must ensure you have not taken more than 12 months break performing Phlebotomy.

How long does the training course last?

Here's the duration of each of our face to face courses:

Adult Phlebotomy 10:00-17:00

Fast Track Phlebotomy 10:00-14:30

Paediatric Phlebotomy 10:00-14:30

Adult Phlebotomy Refresher: 10:00-14:30

Where does training take place?

Our main training centre is located in Bolton, Greater Manchester.

We are set to publish new training venues soon.

Corporate Training often takes place at your place of work or at an agreed upon location. This option is bespoke to the quote.

I have paid for a course, but haven't received my login details, what should I do?

Please allow 48 hours for your registration to complete, if you haven't received your login details after 48 hours, send us an email with your full name and email address so that we can resolve the issue. Please be sure to check your 'Junk' folder, the email should be sent from 'Wordpress'.

We are the only independent, phlebotomy-centric organisation in the UK to be CQC regulated and we train to WHO standards, ensuring the highest level of training quality and safety.

Where does the training take place?

We provide on-site training at your workplace for added convenience. Alternatively, we can arrange for an alternative location if preferred.

Will my team be confident to perform live blood draws after the course?

Yes, all of our learners leave with the confidence to perform live blood draws after completing the training, thanks to our expert instruction and hands-on practical sessions.

Do you offer flexible scheduling for businesses?

Absolutely! We have availability to suit any business or organisation, including evenings and weekends if required. After booking, we will contact you to arrange a date and time that suits your team.

What is included in the training package?

Our training packages include:

How long do we have access to the eLearning course?

All delegates will have online access to Theory of Phlebotomy for 12 months after completion, allowing ongoing learning and reflection without time away from work.

What additional support is provided for learners?

Our learners are equipped with a Competency Framework to support future internal assessments, along with continuous access to eLearning materials to ensure they can continue to grow their skills long after the training is complete.

Online Courses

How do I login to the eLearning platform?

Head to www.thephlebotomycentre.training and select 'Login' – please note this web address is different to our main website (the one you are currently visiting).

If you cannot remember your password, follow the reset password link to sign in, you must use the same email address you purchased the course with.

Be sure to check your Junk/Spam filter and look for an email from ‘WordPress’.

How long does it take to complete the Theory of Phlebotomy eLearning course?

It can take up to 4 hours in one sitting – however we recommend breaking this up into smaller chunks to ensure optimum learning.

You can log out and log back in at any time, from anywhere and pick up where you left off.

You will have access to the eLearning course for 1 full year from the date of registration.

When will I get my certificate?

For all of our online courses, your certificate is issued automatically after successful completion of the course.

How do I find out which questions I got wrong?

If you complete one of our online courses that include an exam, you may wish to know which questions you are getting wrong in order to learn or redo the exam. Send us a quick email when this happens, we'll provide you with feedback and pointers on your questions and answers.

Why can't I see course content properly?

We recommend using a laptop/computer when completing our eLearning courses. All courses work on a phone, but can sometimes cause difficulty particularly when completing 'drag and drop' assessment activities.
